Scholar Description
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Criminology and Forensic Science from the University of New Mexico, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.04 GPA. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Neuroscience in any college I get into. Currently, as a Post-Baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP) Scholar in the Neuroscience Department under Dr. Benjamin Clark, I study the effects of alcohol on brain development. My work includes histological processing, tissue cutting, staining, imaging, and behavioral testing. I have also contributed to manuscript preparation, literature reviews, and data presentations, which have refined both my technical and analytical abilities. These experiences have prepared me for the independence and critical thinking required of doctoral-level research. I am very grateful for what PREP have given me and opportunities I couldn’t imagine as a researcher. Thank you!
