After attending the University of Texas at El Paso for my undergraduate studies, I graduated with a profound interest in working with infectious diseases. I am currently involved in a research lab that focuses on parasites, under the direction of Dr. Coenraad Adema. When I am not at school devoting my time to studying or focusing on lab work, I am usually enjoying the company of my 4 year old daughter. I plan to continue pursuing a career in research, and I believe that the PREP will help me in acquiring additional experience to broaden my future options.
