Scholar Description

I graduated from California State University, Fresno in May, 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In my last couple of years pursuing my undergraduate degree I discovered my interest in infectious diseases, particularly viruses, and host-virus interactions. This led me to the PREP program, specifically Dr. Steven Bradfute’s lab. Throughout this year, I will be working on characterizing the immune response over time in people who have recovered from infection by SARS-CoV-2. After PREP, I plan to pursue a PhD in biomedical sciences, focusing on infectious diseases. In the future I would like to play a part in reducing death by infectious diseases in less developed countries. When I am not in the lab, I like to ride my horse, Noble, swim, cook, and discover new foods.
