I graduated from UNM with a BS in biology and minored in professional writing. My degree focused more on molecular biology. My current academic interests are on molecular cell and genetics, and applying that to diseases. I am working in the lab with Heather Ward in the Department of Pathology with research that relates Kidney Disease and Diabetes. On my free time, I enjoy music, dancing (country and salsa are the most fun, I think), basketball, running, playing the piano, hanging out, and Netflix binging.
