Scholar Description

I graduated in May 2019 from NMSU with a B.S. in Genetics & Biotechnology. I participated in undergraduate research at NMSU in the BRAiN (Building Research Achievement in Neuroscience) program before coming to UNM.

Now I work in the Bhaskar lab, using stem cells to study the role of DNA ligase 3-alpha in Alzhiemer’s disease and other tauopathies. I plan to pursue a PhD in Developmental Stem Cell Biology and a career in science writing/editing. When I’m not in the lab, you can find me on a yoga mat, hiking with my dog Alice, or binging the newest tv drama.
